Cars you never knew existed part 1: The Koenigsegg Jesko ‘plus’

SO WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS?

The Jesko plus, essentially, is the first of Koenigsegg’s new improved Jeskos, which are far superior in power to the standard, less sporty Jeskos.

SO, WHAT WASN’T SPORTY WITH THE NORMAL JESKO?

Well, the normal Jesko has a puny 1280 horsepower, while this, the plus, which has a ‘Environmental power upgrade’,  along with future Jeskos with this technology will have a massive increase to 1600 horsepower. Now, this isn’t just easy power, because now, with your new upgraded stuff, you need to put in different fuel. In this case, E85 biofuel.

OH BLIMEY. THAT’S A LOT OF POWER.

For sure it is. And don’t forget- just like ‘regular’ Jesko -if that’s a thing- its still RWD. Now. I should make it clear that this Jesko, if you put anything other than E85 bio fuel in it, still makes the 1280 hp it should. Its just however, you will need a factory upgrade which unlocks the engine’s potential to run on E85, and therefore unlocking the 1600hp.

IF ALL JESKOS CAN HAVE THIS AT THE TICK OF A BOX, WHY IS THIS THE FIRST TO HAVE IT?

Well, you see, certain markets around the world don’t allow this upgrade, so as a result, if you buy it in the wrong country, too bad.

IS ANYTHING ELSE DIFFERENT?

No, other else, its identical to a Jesko attack, the one with the big rear wing and all. On the other hand, the vodka name-sharing absolut is the long tail, top speed oriented version. The Jesko plus was shown all the way back in October of last year

SO WILL THE OTHER E85 RUNNING JESKOS BE CALLED A PLUS? WHY IS THIS THE ONLY PLUS?

No, they won’t. This is the only ‘Plus’ in existence. It’s only called the plus in fact, because the owner of this car wanted to celebrate this being the first of the bunch, so in fact, the only thing, bar the paint and trim that sets this apart from other E85 running Jeskos is the plus badge alone.

SPEAKING OF THE SPEC, WHAT COLOR IS IT?

It’s called pearl green, a bespoke shade for this specific car, and those accents? That’s crystal white. Absolutely brilliant spec. According to the Koenigsegg registry on Instagram,

“The Crystal White accenting takes the form of the Apex Stripe, Slingshot Stripe, Engelholm Roof Stripes, Engelholm Fins, and the painted Geneva Wing. Optioned with the AirCore Carbon wheels, the white accenting is tied in with painted pinstripes on the spokes as well as white calipers. #006 on the wing endplates denote this as Jesko Project Number 6. The interior is Desiato Leather. Tying in the exterior accenting, the interior has Snow Piping and Stitching in the Drift Pattern.”

… whatever that means.

I’ve been lusting over this car for a long time, I’ll admit. I’ve never seen a prettier Koenigsegg. It’s absolutely brilliant. In fact, I’ll take one in neon pink if I had too. Not that I’ll be able too. Anyway, thank you very much for reading, Good bye!
