If you followed me on Drivetribe, you probably know that Need For Speed is my favorite game franchise. It has nearly been 3 years since the last mainline game was released, which was Need For Speed Heat back in 2019.
Earlier this week, video game leaker Tom Henderson reported that there was a new Need For Speed reveal trailer coming within the next 2 weeks. Well, as it turns out, he was absolutely correct because yesterday, all NFS social media accounts had a new profile photo and cover photo (see Featured Image at the top of the article). Need For Speed also removed all of their previous Instagram posts, much like they did before Heat’s reveal. Then a few hours ago, Need For Speed tweeted this:
The reveal is happening Thursday, October 6th, at 8 AM PT (11 AM EST/5 PM CEST). You will also find a reveal countdown on the Need For Speed Website.
It also seems like the cover art for the new game was found temporarily on EA’s website but has been taken down since, but because the internet is forever, here is that leaked image:
As you can see from this leak, it looks like NFS 2022 will be called “Unbound” and it hints at the anime themes that have long been rumored. It also features a highly modified Mercedes-Benz 190E. The 190E in question appears to be A$AP Rocky’s personal car. (See Below) According to Tom Henderson, the reveal trailer will be roughly 90 seconds in length and will feature an A$AP Rocky song.
