GOTHENBURG, Sweden – Polestar announced today that it will debut the Polestar 3, an electric SUV with a 372-mile range target, in October of this year.
It will also be equipped with Luminar’s NVIDIA-powered LiDAR system to provide autonomous highway piloting over time.
The Polestar 3 will “bring ‘sport’ back to the SUV, staying true to [Polestar’s] performance roots,” said Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.
Not much is currently known about the Polestar 3, but we speculate that it is a high-end luxury SUV to compete with the likes of the Porsche Cayenne, but time will tell.
With the Polestar 3’s debut slated for this year, Polestar marks its entrance to the highest growing segment in the industry. The company is also on track to release three new vehicles over the next three years.
Customers will have the ability to place an order on the day of the premiere.

Looks good. Rear visibility looks very poor but I’m sure cameras are present. Could be killer vehicle.
Yeah rear visibility seems to be shrinking in the grand scheme of things. But I do like how it looks too.
