Ford to introduce 5 new passenger vehicles
Ford has announced a renewed push in the European market, with a focus on both making fleet management more integrated with Ford for commercial buyers, as well as unveiling 5 new cars for the European market.
The charge is led by a new version of the Bronco designed for Europe, being described as a multi-energy compact SUV. This will likely become the smallest offering in the Bronco range, and will introduce the brand to Europe for the first time.
Ford is also going back into the supermini space, with a new all-electric supermini, filling the void left by the cancellation of the Fiesta. This will most likely be built around the Renault 5 architecture in a partnership with Renault, and will likely be released in 2028. There is also going to be a small all-electric SUV, which is speculated to be based on the Renault 4, similar in execution to the Fiesta successor.
There are also two new crossovers in their own range. Ford says these will be “rally bred” with their race-to-road design, and will be hybrids.
Ford has also made a plea to the EU to focus on PHEVs and range-extended electric vehicles before making the switch to fully electric vehicles, stating, “We don't build vehicles to meet regulatory mandates; we build them for people.”
